Issue Position: Protecting Our Quality of Life -- Agriculture and Public Lands

Issue Position

Date: Jan. 1, 2018

Idaho is a great place to live, work and raise a family.

One of the best things about living in Idaho is our great outdoors. I have lived in both Northern and Southern Idaho and have enjoyed most of this great state. And we have to protect what we have.

Idaho public lands are not for sale to the highest bidders or special interest groups. They are public lands because they belong to all of us, and that is part of our great heritage as Americans and as Idahoans.

As someone who works in agriculture in Idaho, I recognize that a balanced management plan for our lands and resources is critical. Management must be made of sound and science-based policies to protect our air, water, land and wildlife resources and we must also consider the needs of Idaho's agricultural producers. Extremists on either side of the discussion can not ruin what we have.
